The Oshkosh® Striker® 4x4 ARFF vehicles represent a full fleet replacement and will support Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (CNA) emergency operations in Little Rock, Arkansas.

APPLETON, WIS. (July 11, 2024)Oshkosh Airport Products, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) business, announced Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (CNA) in Little Rock, Arkansas, has taken delivery of three new Oshkosh Airport Products Striker® 4x4 Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles. The upgrade was completed in April 2024 and marks a full fleet replacement of all Oshkosh Airport Products frontline ARFF vehicles.

OAP_LittleRock_InsetThe new additions include two Striker 4x4 ARFF vehicles equipped with roof turrets and one Striker 4x4 ARFF vehicle featuring a Snozzle® high-reach extendable turret (HRET), which provides versatility and advanced firefighting capabilities. The Oshkosh Airport Products ARFF vehicles were chosen for their innovative technology and reliability, with the airport emergency response crew highlighting the new Driver Enhanced Vision System (DEVS) as a crucial feature. The AeroBOSS DEVS provides live flight data and supports drivers in poor visibility conditions through its navigation, tracking, and vision enhancement components.

The Striker 4x4 vehicles have a 1,500-gallon water capacity, 222 gallons of fluorine-free foam, and 550 pounds of dry chemical capacity. The fluorine-free foam system is an environmentally conscious choice, aligning with modern safety and environmental standards. The fleet’s optimization with 4x4 capabilities ensures rapid response times for effective aircraft rescue and firefighting operations.

"Our ARFF crews are excited to welcome the new Oshkosh Airport Products Striker vehicles into service, which have made for a significant fleet upgrade," said Eric Hildreth, Battalion Chief with the Little Rock Fire Department. "The advanced technology, cockpit ergonomics, operational performance, and accessibility of ongoing service support for the life of our apparatus were key factors in our decision. These vehicles represent our commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards for the airport and the traveling public."

Service and maintenance for the new vehicles will be supported by Siddons-Martin Emergency Group’s Global ARFF Services division. Global ARFF Services is renowned for offering comprehensive solutions for airport emergency operations, including inspections, maintenance, custom upgrades, personnel training, and certification.

“We are honored to have been selected for the fleet upgrade at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport," said Jack Bermingham, business unit director, Oshkosh Airport Products.
